Parks and Recreation of Boulder Junction

With more than 1000 area lakes, there are endless activities you can enjoy. Winter time activities include; hunting, snowmobiling, cross country skiing, ice fishing and snowshoeing. Summertime activities include;  golf, fishing, paddling, horseback riding, hiking, and biking.

The Heart of Vilas County Paved Bike Trail - A top ranked destination for biking in the state of Wisconsin. The trail is just under 50 miles and fully paved and offers many great stops for picnicing and swimming-such as the Crystal Lake Campground and Nichols Beach.

Northern Highland-American Legion State Forest - Much of Boulder Junction is covered by this pristine forest. Consisting of 25,000 acres of forests andlakes and 250 miles of rivers and streams, it's also home to one of the largest Bald Eagle Nesting concentrations in the world.
