Winchester is a town in the Northwest corner of Vilas County with Michigan's Upper Peninsula to the north. The total area encompasses over 34,000 acres and is covered by lakes. Cisco Chain - Natural Lakes Area (15 Lake Chain)

Lac du Flambeau Chain (10 Lake Chain)

The Lac du Flambeau Chain of Lakes are known for their crystal clear waters. The lakes are spring fed with water controlled by a fixed dam on the Northwest end of Flambeau Lake. The Chain is referred to as the Fence Lake Chain, the largest body of water with over 3,400 acres to explore. The 10 Lakes of the area are: Big Crawling Stone Lake, Little Crawling Stone Lake, Fence Lake, North Twin Placid Lake, South Twin Placid Lake, Long Interlochen Lake, To-to-tom Lake, Moss Lake, Flambeau Lake, and Pokegama Lake.

Eagle River/Three Lakes Chain (28 Lake Chain)

Pike Lake Chain - Fifield, Park Falls, WI (4 Lake Chain)
